Shapes for Sounds

Researchers have shown that there are fundamental connections between language and the senses (from the global bouba/kiki phenomenon to embodied metaphors). Still, this information is often hidden in inaccessible academic texts. That’s why I’m excited about the infographic-heavy ‘Shapes For Sounds‘.

While I always have some trepidation that a good looking book like this will be all style and no substance (Data Flow, anyone?), from the sounds of it it has the meat to back up the sizzle.
